Places have behaviors we can capture just like with animals. Have you ever been to a place and it was nothing like you remembered it? Places change dramatically based on season and time of day. It can be lush, green trees, spectacular shades or red, yellow and orange in the fall, fields of barren trigs or shimmering ice-covered branches. A myriad of different images in the same place. The morning sun lights a hillside differently than the evening sun, light is ever changing, clouds are ever forming, moving, and disappearing. Sometimes moments when the sun is at just the right angle, just between the right clouds, and by the time we reach for our camera that moment is gone forever just like it was a bird flying past and out of sight.
